Fishing Pontoosuc Lake in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Pontoosuc Lake is a 511 acre great pond that is located in the City of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Pontoosuc Lake has a maximum depth of approximately 40 feet and is about 15 feet deep on average. Pontoosuc lake is one of the most popular lakes for fishing in the Berkshires because of its ample trout and largemouth bass populations as well as for the lake’s ability to produce trophy northern pike.

Fishing Greenwater Pond In Becket, Massachusetts

Greenwater Pond in Becket, Massachusetts is an 88 acre trout pond that is located in between the Massachusetts Turnpike and Route 20. Greenwater Pond is approximately 58 feet deep at its deepest point and has an average depth of about 23 feet. I had always been under the impression that Greenwater Pond was quite shallow, but upon visiting there this past week came to realize that Greenwater Pond only appears to be shallow because the water is incredibly clear.

Fishing Richmond Pond In Richmond Massachusetts

Richmond Pond is located in the Berkshires in the town of Richmond. Although the Richmond Pond shoreline is saturated with private residences as well as two summer camps, the public boat ramp which is located on Town Beach Road is an excellent location for public access. The 218 acre raised great pond has a maximum depth of 53 feet and can be fished from the shore as well as by boat.

Fishing Stockbridge Bowl In Stockbridge Massachusetts


Stockbridge Bowl is located in the Berkshires in the town of Stockbridge just off of Route 183. The 372 acre water body has a maximum depth of approximately 48 feet and can be fished from the shore and by boat. Ice fishing is very popular on Stockbridge Bowl during the winter months. There is a lot of boat traffic on the lake during the summer months which makes fishing Stockbridge Bowl very difficult during this time of year. I’ve caught plenty of fish in Stockbridge Bowl throughout the years and thought that I would share some tips for fishing Stockbridge Bowl with you.

Fishing Laurel Lake In Lee Massachusetts


Laurel Lake is located in the Berkshires on the Lee / Lenox border just off of Route 20. The 170 acre water body has a maximum depth of approximately 53 feet and can be fished from the shore and by boat. Ice fishing on Laurel Lake is very popular in the winter months and as such, many local organizations choose to hold their ice fishing tournaments on the lake.
